Laser Crystal

The laser crystal consists of two parts: the luminescence center and the matrix crystal.The luminescence center of most laser crystals is composed of activated ions which replace the cations in matrix crystals to form doped laser crystals.When activated ions become part of the matrix crystal components, they form a self-activated laser crystal.
